“ My first time stopping here. I got the surf bowl to try one of the main attractions. Hearty portions of all fish and seaweed salad in the bowl, with a not-overwhelming amount of rice (something I've encountered in some other Midwest poke places), and decently sauced but not overpoweringly. I only ordered pickup, but service was friendly and fast. Only thing that stood out a bit was that the eel tasted a bit more like catfish to me than I'm used to, but it wasn't off-putting. Just didn't quite gel altogether with the light flavors in the bowl. I'll consider trying the same again sometime to see if it stays the same. The bowl was colorful, for sure a place you can "eat with your eyes" first. ”

While you can make your own bowl, I'm a sucker for menu options. I've enjoyed both the Surf and Fire bowls at Poke Green. The flavors blend really well, and it leaves me with a happy belly. The place is clean. The staff is super nice. The food is served in a to-go bowl, so leftovers are easy to take home -- if you can resist chowing the whole thing in one sitting! The only constructive feedback I have is that I wish that they provided nutrition information for each bowl, even if just on their website, but I don't consider that a deal breaker. ”
